UPDATED: Nigerian former Congressman Daramola Launches an Entrepreneurial Project for young People – Project 60/60/60

ABUJA, (The Southern African Times) – Project 60.60.60 is entrepreneurial project that sets to see the largest African nation lead in proving to the world that Africa can work and produce the next generation of entrepreneurs.

The project sets out to collaborate with the government and investors as a working model.

This vision is particularly a renaissance vision for Nigeria and by extension the continent of Africa described as a continent with the youth “bulge”.

The 39.4 million unemployed Nigerians will have young people  between the ages of 18 and 40 in the majority and this scenario will get more challenging in the days ahead as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic that has compelled a new order.

The advocates for the project argue that Government alone cannot handle it therefore there is a need for collaboration, particularly made evident by the prevailing realities. In addition, the project leaders see this project as a crystallising moment for Nigeria as it recently celebrated 60 years of independence.

The project owners want the best young entrepreneurs and those who are set to make the best use of a life changing experience and initiative.

The project owners having travelled abroad and seen how other models across the world work in places such as the Caribbean and USA they want to a adopt these methods and offer competitive programs for entrepreneurs.

They wish to offer transparency and give the positions to those deserving by sieving out the best similar to the American programme the apprentice where applicants must undergo boot camp first and pass to be permitted a place on the project.

This as the project founder emphasis is not a handout, but a helping hand up the career leader for those who would not otherwise have the opportunity to start their own business.

Nigeria known as a nation of high youth unemployment Honourable Bimbo Daramola wants to close the unemployment gap and reduce crime and all that walks hand in hand as a by product of youth unemployment.

He believes it can be done having started the first loyalty card in Nigeria known as naijacard, that has proved to be a great success !

Honourable Bimbo Daramola a very humble man,  his exuberant passion for youth empowerment and speaks energetically of how he wants to see Nigeria in 60 years rivalling the west and leading across Africa.

its  planned to be a ten year old initiative that also involves setting up private sector driven entrepreneurship laboratories in the 36 states of Nigeria and the federal capital territory.

This is to create a structural backup feature  and model for entrepreneurship in Nigeria.

At these centres spread all over the country , a steady stream of knowledge driven entrepreneurs are raised sustainably,  the focus is helping people translate their dreams, vision and skillset  into viable enterprises with emphasis on 3Ds – DISCOVER , DEVELOP and DEPLOY.

The project has already started at its first phase and welcomes all investors and sponsors in order to reach more youth     And cut unemployment.

Nigeria is becoming Gold Coast for investors where investment in the oil industry has dried up there are still other great opportunities to be had and honourable Bimbo Daramola feels its the youth that are the best people to invest in as they are the future of tomorrow! A seed is planted the harvest is cultivated later , Honourable Bimbo Daramola hope to see a bumper harvest coming out of project 60.60.60.

Congressman Bimbo Daramola believes that the significance of the attainment of this milestone is to INTROSPECT,  REFLECT and PROJECT again the future inspired by the challenges of today

This vision is particularly a renaissance vision for Nigeria and by extension the continent of Africa described as a continent with the youth “bulge”.
