WestProp Holdings Announces US$174 Million Investment in Luxury Housing Projects in Zimbabwe

WestProp Holdings Limited, a leading player in Zimbabwe’s real estate sector, has unveiled an ambitious plan to inject US$174 million into a series of upscale housing projects, signaling a significant leap forward for the country’s property landscape. With a focus on delivering luxurious and high-quality living experiences, the investment is poised to redefine the standards of urban living in Zimbabwe.

At the forefront of this initiative is the Hills Luxury Golf Estate, a prestigious development nestled between Sherwood and Harare Drive poised to emerge as a hallmark of sophistication in Zimbabwe’s capital city, Harare. With nearly US$40 million earmarked for infrastructure construction, the estate aims to set new benchmarks in upscale living.

Ken Sharpe, CEO of WestProp Holdings, underscored the company’s dedication to excellence, stating, “Our vision is to build signature infrastructure that epitomises luxury and safety for our customers.” This commitment is reflected in the allocation of funds towards projects like Millennium Heights block five and the development of the company’s own state-of-the-art head office in Borrowdale, underscoring WestProp Holdings’ commitment to delivering unparalleled quality.

With plans to diversify its portfolio, WestProp Holdings is also venturing into retail infrastructure with the proposed Mall of Zimbabwe, backed by a substantial investment of US$100 million. Scheduled for groundbreaking later this year, the mall is poised to redefine the retail landscape in Harare, offering a world-class shopping experience.

Michael Louis, Chairman of WestProp Holdings, expressed confidence in Zimbabwe’s economic prospects, emphasizing the company’s mission to bring international standards to the local market. “Our goal is to create a people-centered community where safety and security are paramount,” Louis remarked, highlighting the company’s dedication to fostering sustainable growth and development.

In line with its commitment to environmental sustainability, WestProp Holdings has commissioned a US$500,000 gatehouse at Millennium Heights powered by renewable energy sources. Equipped with cutting-edge surveillance and access control technology, the gatehouse exemplifies the company’s commitment to green energy and innovation.

Furthermore, WestProp Holdings has introduced penthouses at its developments, expanding the options for luxury living in Zimbabwe. This move reflects the company’s responsiveness to market demands and its commitment to offering bespoke solutions to discerning customers.

Looking ahead, WestProp Holdings remains steadfast in its mission to revolutionize Zimbabwe’s real estate industry. With a strategic focus on smart cities, premium luxury housing, affordable housing, green communities, and lifestyle developments, the company aims to reshape the urban landscape and create sustainable communities for future generations.

Through projects like Pokugara Residential Estate, Millennium Heights, Hills Golf Estate, Mall of Zimbabwe, and Pomona City, WestProp Holdings is poised to leave an indelible mark on Zimbabwe’s property segment, ushering in a new era of sophistication and excellence in African real estate.
