Kholiwe Makhohliso, a distinguished figure in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector, has resigned from her position as Managing Director of SAP Southern Africa. The German software conglomerate confirmed her departure, stating that after two years in the role, Makhohliso has chosen to pursue opportunities outside the company.
Makhohliso’s tenure at SAP commenced in July 2023, following her leadership at Software AG South Africa, where she held the titles of Vice President and Country Managing Director. Her professional journey, spanning over two decades, includes significant roles at prominent firms such as Accenture and Oracle. She began her career as an auditor before transitioning into consulting and sales within the ICT industry.
Beyond her corporate achievements, Makhohliso is deeply committed to education and youth development. She serves as the Chairperson of the Sparrow Trust, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing educational and vocational opportunities to disadvantaged South African youth.
SAP has expressed gratitude for Makhohliso’s contributions over the past two years and extended best wishes for her future endeavours. The company has indicated that announcements regarding new leadership for its Southern Africa operations will be made in due course.
