Global African Awards GAA opens up nominations in England, Scotland and lreland

The Global African Awards (GAA) has announced dates for the England, Scotland and Ireland editions of the fast-growing movement in recognition of outstanding positive impact from the African diaspora.

GAA will make their maiden bow in Scotland and Ireland in November and the England edition is scheduled for Saturday 29th October 2022.

“The GAA are primed for another significant season in recognising the leading lights in African diaspora who are changing the world in different ways,” said Conrad Mwanza GAA Founder.

“In recognition and celebration of high impact personalities and organisations, we shall be converging in Scotland and Ireland for the first time to network, honour and engage the key players in Scotland and Ireland, powering Africa’s global renaissance.”

The GAA is a platform to highlight the positive contributions of the African Diaspora communities and recognise the importance of multiculturalism and help to promote unity and opportunity.

The organisation has attracted diverse African leaders and fostered partnerships and synergies between the African Diaspora and Africa.

The 2022 ceremonies come on the back of the hosting of fruitful events in the past year including the GAA South African edition which was held in Durban alongside the African Trade Fair.

Previous recipients and honorees of the GAA include Secretary-General of the ACFTA Wamkele Mene, mogul Alexander Amosu, Josina Machel, tech entrepreneur Michael Behrane, media personality Makosi Musambasi, and humanitarian Carolyn Steyn among others.

The Global African Awards is a unique platform which showcases the valuable and distinct contributions made by members of the Diaspora community in areas ranging from business to sport, entertainment to public service, the arts and philanthropy.
The GAA has grown over the past few years to become a regular premier event and platform with editions in the UK, Africa and Australia and expanding to other territories.
