Zimbabwean teenager Lola Elizabeth Amira Nice is representing the country at the seventh edition of Miss Teen International, taking place in Jaipur, India, as young contestants from around 30 countries compete for the international title. The 16 year old, who is the reigning Miss Teen Zimbabwe 2026, left Zimbabwe on 21 August and is set to compete at the grand finale on 30 August. A student at Hellenic Academy, Nice brings a combination of academic achievement, sporting ability, leadership and community involvement to the international platform. Her sporting record includes athletics and competitive archery. She is a member of her school’s Archery A Team and represented Zimbabwe at the AGA World Tournament in 2025, where the Zimbabwe Development Team secured three bronze medals.
Earlier this year, she won a silver medal in 3D Archery at the Zimbabwe National Championships before representing Zimbabwe at a competition in Botswana as part of the national team. Her interests extend beyond sport. Nice has positioned access to quality education and equal opportunities for young people among the causes she supports. As a brand ambassador for the Centre for Total Transformation, she is involved in initiatives supporting education for underprivileged children and encouraging young people to recognise their potential.
Her participation in Miss Teen International therefore represents more than a pageant appearance. It provides the teenager with an international platform to promote Zimbabwean culture while highlighting the achievements and aspirations of the country’s youth.
“I proudly carry the Zimbabwean flag and the dreams of young people across our nation,” Nice said.
“Zimbabwe has talented, resilient and ambitious young people, and I want the world to see what we can achieve when we lead with purpose and determination.”
She added that she intended to represent Zimbabwe with “excellence, confidence and pride” while encouraging other young people to pursue their ambitions. Miss Zimbabwe Trust director Patience Lusengo said Nice’s achievements in academics, sport and community service made her a strong representative for the country.
“Lola represents the determination, talent and promise of Zimbabwe’s young people,” Lusengo said, calling on Zimbabweans at home and abroad to support her journey in India.
The Trust also acknowledged the role played by Nice’s family, school, sponsors, partners and supporters in making her participation possible. Miss Teen International provides a platform for young women aged between 14 and 19, with the competition focusing on youth leadership, personal development, cultural exchange and community advocacy. Under its “Make a Difference” mission, contestants are expected to demonstrate confidence, communication skills, intelligence and a commitment to social causes. For Zimbabwe, Nice’s participation provides another opportunity to place the country’s young talent before an international audience.
Her journey from the classroom and archery range to an international stage reflects the increasingly diverse ways Zimbabwean teenagers are pursuing excellence beyond traditional academic and sporting pathways. As the final approaches in Jaipur, Nice will be hoping to turn her combination of sporting discipline, advocacy and confidence into a strong showing for Zimbabwe.
