CGRE Group Expands Global Footprint with New London Office

The CGRE Group, a prominent name in the reinsurance industry across Africa, has announced the opening of its new office in the City of London. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in the company’s ambition to establish a lasting legacy in the international reinsurance market.

Jean-Claude Lam Hung, CEO of CG Re (Africa) Ltd, expressed his enthusiasm about this development, stating, “Our team is very excited about this natural next step. From the outset of setting up the CGRE Group, we envisioned the opening of an office in the City of London as one key destination which would enhance our service capabilities. This is at the heart of our ‘We provide fit-for-purpose solutions to our clients’ culture and our ‘100 Steps’ strategy.”

Lam Hung highlighted London’s status as one of the world’s premier financial centres, recognising it as a crucial component of CGRE’s expansion strategy. “London is one of the world’s top financial centres and is another key stepping stone in our expansion strategy to become an international and global reinsurance broker. Our London office shall play a most significant role in achieving this strategic objective of our group and shall give us the right edge to assert ourselves in the reinsurance broking industry. We will be able to better connect our clients with reinsurers from across the globe, including now the Lloyd’s syndicates market through our London office.”

This announcement comes on the heels of CGRE’s recent relocation to new and improved office premises in Gaborone, Botswana, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to growth and excellence.

Lam Hung reiterated CGRE’s dedication to forging strong partnerships within the industry. “We are 100% committed to being the best in what a reinsurance broker can offer to its clients based on a win-win partnership framework. We believe that by working together and investing in our relationships with our partners, we can all achieve our potential in a world of infinite possibilities.”

The CGRE Group’s London office is expected to enhance its service capabilities significantly, providing a vital link between clients and reinsurers worldwide. This move is set to bolster the company’s position in the global reinsurance market, furthering its mission to deliver bespoke solutions to its diverse client base.

The company’s expansion into London underscores its strategic vision and commitment to excellence, positioning CGRE as a formidable player in the international reinsurance arena.
