Victoria Falls Stock Exchange Investor Day Kicks Off Today at London Stock Exchange

Today marks the official start of the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX) Investor Day at the London Stock Exchange hosted by Financial Markets Indaba at Zimbabwe’s Capital Markets Conference event which brings together VFEX listed and listing companies to showcase their success stories and company value proposition to potential investors.

The conference will be opened by Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, H.E Ambassador Colonel (Rtd) Christian Katsande, who will welcome attendees and highlight the importance of investment in Zimbabwe’s economy. Zimbabwe’s Minister of Finance, Mthuli Ncube, will deliver the keynote speech, outlining the government’s economic policies and the investment opportunities available in the country.

In addition to the minister’s speech, the Chief Executive Officer of VFEX will also make a presentation, highlighting the progress made by the exchange since its launch in 2020. VFEX was established to facilitate the listing and trading of foreign currency-denominated securities, offering investors an opportunity to diversify their portfolios and access new markets.

The event is expected to attract a broad range of investors, including institutional investors, family offices, and high net worth individuals. Participating companies will have the opportunity to engage with potential investors, network with industry peers and gain valuable insights into the investment landscape in Zimbabwe.

The VFEX Investor Day at the London Stock Exchange underscores the importance of VFEX’s strategic partnerships and commitment to promoting investment opportunities in Zimbabwe. As the exchange continues to grow, it is expected to play a critical role in driving economic growth, job creation, and wealth creation in Zimbabwe and the Southern African region.

Financial Markets Indaba is co-hosting the Zimbabwe Capital Markets Conference together with the Zimbabwe Embassy in the United Kingdom. The conference is aimed at promoting investment opportunities in Zimbabwe’s capital markets and showcasing the country’s economic potential. The event will bring together key players in the capital markets industry, including regulators, issuers, investors, and financial intermediaries, to discuss the latest developments and opportunities in the sector. The conference is expected to provide a platform for networking, learning, and forging new business relationships, and will feature presentations, panel discussions, and keynote speeches from leading experts in the field.
