Shaping a Sustainable Future: ACSIS Sustainability Awards 2024 Nominations Now Open

Kehinde Odanye, the Sustainability Awards Director at ACSIS

The African Caribbean Sustainability & Investment Summit (ACSIS) proudly presents the ACSIS Sustainability Awards 2024, a prestigious initiative dedicated to recognising and celebrating the remarkable contributions of young leaders driving sustainable development across Africa and the Caribbean. The awards are set to shine a spotlight on exceptional individuals aged 18-35 who are making meaningful strides in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

As the world grapples with the pressing challenges of climate change, inequality, and poverty, the ACSIS Sustainability Awards aim to amplify the efforts of those who are shaping the future through innovative, scalable, and sustainable solutions. Whether it’s through advocating for climate action, developing renewable energy solutions, or advancing gender equality, the awards provide a platform for young change-makers to showcase their transformative work.

Nomination Process: The nomination process for the ACSIS Sustainability Awards is transparent and accessible, welcoming submissions from individuals and organisations alike. Nominations are now open for categories such as the Young Hero of the Year, Outstanding Climate Change Leader, Girl Child Advocate, and Most Innovative Project. Nominations can be submitted on the official website or via email to awards@africancaribbeansummit.com. Each nomination must be supported by detailed descriptions of the project or activity, evidence of impact, and supporting documents such as photographs and videos.

A Message from Kehinde Odanye, Sustainability Awards Director

Kehinde Odanye, the Sustainability Awards Director at ACSIS, expressed his excitement for the upcoming awards ceremony, saying:

“The ACSIS Sustainability Awards celebrate the young leaders who are not only imagining a better world but actively working towards it. These awards are a recognition of the ingenuity, passion, and commitment of young people across Africa and the Caribbean who are paving the way for a sustainable future. We hope that by honouring these incredible individuals, we can inspire others to take bold actions towards achieving the UN SDGs and fostering positive change in their communities.”

The Award Ceremony and Its Benefits: The winners of the ACSIS Sustainability Awards will be celebrated at a dedicated ceremony at the UK House of Lords, where they will be recognised for their outstanding contributions to sustainable development. The awards also offer winners the opportunity to gain widespread recognition through media exposure across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean. Along with public acknowledgement, selected winners will also receive monetary prizes and exclusive connections to high-level gatherings and opportunities.

How to Nominate: The nomination process is simple and accessible. Those interested in nominating a deserving young leader can submit their nominations via the official website ACSIS Nomination Page or by email at awards@africancaribbeansummit.com, including all necessary supporting materials. Nominees must provide a detailed description of their project or activity, along with evidence of its impact, social media handles, and contact details.

The ACSIS Sustainability Awards 2024 provide a vital platform to recognise and celebrate the tireless efforts of young change-makers who are making a tangible difference in their communities. By supporting and amplifying their work, the awards contribute to a global movement towards sustainable development, inspiring others to follow suit. Nominations are now open, and it’s time to honour those who are shaping a brighter future for Africa, the Caribbean, and the world at large.
