Dzimbahwe Guest lodge illuminates Victoria Falls

VICTORIA FALLS, (The Southern African Times) – Dzimbahwe Guest Lodge located in Zimbabwe’s premier tourist destination, the Victoria Falls, is an oasis of hospitality accommodation that suits every traveller’s dream holiday.

On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, you will be met by Private Guide Lewis Mangaba from Wild Spoor Safaris who will transfer you to Dzimbahwe Guest Lodge. Lewis Mangaba is a highly respected, professional guide and guide trainer with unwavering passion and genuine enthusiasm for African people, wildlife and conservation.

Previously nominated as one of top three finalists in the 2014 Wanderlust Guide Awards, in 2016 the UK’s Wanderlust Magazine readers voted him as “World Guide of the Year”, and in 2017 Lewis was awarded the “Unsung Hero PURE Award” which recognises the dedication and passion of guides who go an extra mile to offer truly transformational experiences to guests.

In a trip Organised by Boundless Southern Africa for media practitioners in the region, in support of the #20For20 SME Initiative under the Zimbabwe Destination Development Program run by Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry and supported by the IFC, a group of regional and local travel journalists are currently in the destination to appreciate the resilience and efforts of small to medium enterprises in Victoria Falls and their importance in tourism revival following the COVID-19 pandemic and the push towards the Sustainable development goals of 2030.

There has been very limited support for SMEs. In many parts of the world, the fear that many smaller businesses will be eradicated as a result of the pandemic has caused governments to provide relief measures – intended to support the tourism community, and ensure they are there to help recovery and build future resilience. This has been a challenge across much of Africa including Zimbabwe.

    Dzimbahwe Guest lodge king room

Judith Dzimbanhete, a Director of Dzimbahwe Guest Lodge said that the lodge was recently awarded “Best Family Guest House 2021” in the Global Tourism Awards, Dzimbahwe Guest Lodge is owner run and offers a comfortable, personalised and “home away from home” experience for discerning travellers visiting Victoria Falls looking for intimate, private, clean and reasonably priced accommodation. The owner run and personalized service enhance the overall atmosphere of Dzimbahwe, and the carefully nurtured gardens and swimming pool area provide a tranquil space in which guests can relax and unwind. Located in the peaceful area of Victoria Falls closer to the game corridor and 3km to the mighty Victoria Falls they offer self-catering and bed and breakfast options.
