The Southern African Times announces it’s First Brand Ambassador

This week The Southern African Times announced it’s first International Brand Ambassador in order to compliment the newspapers social media strategy. The Head of Operations of the news outlet Michelle Mungeni said, “ We found it befitting to partner up with Mr Tinarwo due to the outstanding skill set he had independently demonstrated an ability to community complex issues in a profoundly simple fashion that is related to younger audiences.

Who is Goddlyzeus?

Since Childhood Shelton Tafadzwa Tinarwo popularly known as Goddlyzeus has always been hyperactive , always loved telling jokes and making people smile and laugh , through out the years with all his  experiences, growing up in Harare Zimbabwe what he held emotive was the connection he  had with his audience.

Tafadzwa has been known as someone that does not like to give up through difficult times and always looked at everything in a positive way as this helped him overcome a number of obstacles. The multitalented content creator grew up in a supportive loving family that always believed he was destined for greatness.

Conversely, Goddlyzeus’s time at  Yakın Doğu Üniversitesi (Near East University) jump-started his journey as a writer, video director and producer.  He attests to the  love he has for acting, culture and connecting with people as the crucial preamble to what his life has become.a ring true to his  nature, the opportunity to study abroad would expose him to diverse cultures and experiences that would lead to an expansion of knowledge that he would pivot to further his ambitions.

When asked, what would motivate a young Interior Architecture student to pursue his present career, his explanation was simple, “I was studying and suddenly discovered a hidden talent I could not explain as everyone told me I should start making content so I decided to teach myself how to take and  edit videos so I could share my passion with the world , since I was in a Turkish country and they speak  Turkish and Arabic too I then took the initiative to learn those languages and their culture to make my content better and better connect with them.”

The reader may see this as an extra ordinary passion, a sentiment we share. He further adds, “I learnt  everything I needed to learn as I taught myself for a period of 2 years and thanks to  few friends,  I met on the way with language ,accents dialects , I started making videos tasting different Turkish and Arab Cuisines. This then attracted restaurants and businesses in Cyprus as they would now invite me and send me different traditional food so I can make videos and show them on my account on TikTok to advertise their businesses , for they liked how entertained the audience with jokes in my content at the same time advertising their meals , so at this point I realised with all this progress I could do more.”

Buoyed by the success he had in Turkey, Tafadzwa then decided to move back home and launch his career. It was the trip back to his homeland that formed the genesis of “Zimbabwean Are Awesome Journey”.  The  theme was to focus on  advertising in a unique fashion , making advertising fun and as genuine as possible. His talent has continued to blossom due to his uncanny ability to be relatable with young and old audiences within Zimbabwe and beyond.

The Southern African Times sees this partnership as a way to expand its social media strategy. Given current growth rates,  Tiktok could become the leading social media app soon, and getting access to those kinds of audiences has an untold benefit in terms of brand recognition.
