Rick Ross Receives Warm Welcome In Zimbabwe

Rick Ross received a warm welcome from Zimbabwe. His latest trip shows the rapper can’t get enough of Africa. And if we’re being completely honest. We are absolutely here for it!

In a video posted to his more than 16 million followers, the rapper is being seen receiving a warm and festive welcome from traditional Muchongoyo dancers.

His smile is pure Black man joy in the video captioned, “Coming home to Zimbabwe.”

The Boss Takes The Stage In Harare

The Maybach Music Group (MMG) CEO visited Zimbabwe for one of the biggest Hip Hop concerts to date in the country’s capital. He graced the stage at Harare International Conference Center for his first concert in the country, hosted by Roar Entertainment Africa.

As local media reports, the auditorium was packed, and as suspected, The Boss himself was in awe of the Southern African country.

“I am happy to be in Zimbabwe, and it’s amazing,” he told the crowd. “The people are full of love.”

He Already Announced Big Plans For Africa in 2024

Rick Ross has seen so much love in Africa this past year. In April, he spent Easter Sunday in Angola, where locals greeted him in the country’s capital, Luanda.

“[I] woke up on Easter morning in Angola and chose to walk amongst the people the day of Resurrection. A day of hope,” he stated.

And he’s not just receiving the love from the Motherland, but showing it back.

“Hello, queen. Can I give you a hug,” he asks before embracing a woman in town.

Shortly after the Angola trip, the rapper announced big goals for himself by announcing plans to climb Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, in 2024.

“I really believe when I put my heart to something, I can do anything,” he said during an interview with the host of Full Send Podcast. “This is the first time I’ve said this, but in 2024, I’m a hike to the top of Kilimanjaro.”

At 19,341 feet, Tanzania’s Mount Kilimanjaro is not just Africa’s tallest mountain but the tallest freestanding mountain in the world.

While most people take an average of nine days to climb, Ross said he would allow himself 12 days. He also plans to take people with him because someone has to carry his Wingstop, he stated on the podcast.
