SA Chamber of Commerce Hosts Esteemed Annual Gala Dinner at the Historical Mansion House UK

LONDON, (The Southern African Times) – The South African Chamber of Commerce UK will be hosting their much-anticipated annual Gala Dinner on March 22nd at the revered Mansion House UK. The Gala Dinner marks the significance of the growing relationship between the South African Chamber and the City of London, the home of international trade.

Chairman of the SA Chamber, Sharon Constançon, highlights the exceptional speakers and industry leaders who will share their thoughts with attendees at the Gala Dinner. Described as an “inspiring leader with a real, energetic presence,” the host and the keynote speaker will be the recent Lord Mayor, Sir Peter Estlin. Constançon notes that “Peter has a long history with the City, the City Corporation and the Livery and as CFO of Barclays Bank, he has a true understanding of trade between the City and beyond as well as international finances.”

The SA Chamber wishes their Honorary Member, South African High Commissioner to the UK, Her Excellency, Nomatemba Tambo, who usually shares her insights at such events, is unfortunately unable to attend due to the President’s Investment Conference in SA.

Lord Hain, a stalwart supporter of South Africa since his youth activist days, will join Lord Boateng, former UK High Commissioner to South Africa to share their insights into the relationship between the two countries.

Not only are respected thought-leaders sharing with attendees, but this year’s venue is a demonstration not only of the growing relationship but of the distinction of the event itself.

With hundreds of years of history contained within its magnificent walls, and completed in 1758, the doors of Mansion House UK have opened to host the event. Located within the famous financial district – the Square Mile – Mansion House retains much of its original character and charm and unparalleled reception area.

Constançon highlights the importance of building business relations at this event in particular: “A Black Tie event, this year’s Gala Dinner is set to be our most prestigious yet. This is a premier business networking opportunity from a Champagne Reception, through dinner to the after-dinner drinks. It’s the ideal opportunity to connect in person once more.”
