Zimfest Live Hosts This Week’s Launch of Clear MOBITEL’s Diaspora eSIM Solution

Clear MOBITEL, the emerging leader in next-generation mobile connectivity, is proud to announce the official launch of its pioneering eSIM offering, purpose-built to serve the African diaspora community worldwide. The unveiling will take place at Zimfest Live 2025, the UK’s premier African cultural and music festival, where Clear MOBITEL is a headline sponsor.

This innovative eSIM solution combines convenience, global reach, and affordability, offering seamless mobile connectivity without the hassle of physical SIM cards. Tailored specifically to meet the needs of global Africans—including frequent travellers, entrepreneurs, and digital natives—the Clear MOBITEL eSIM is set to redefine how diaspora communities remain connected across borders.

Zimfest Live, an iconic celebration of African heritage and culture, provides the perfect platform for this landmark launch. Attracting thousands of attendees annually, the festival embodies unity, identity, and innovation—values that Clear MOBITEL proudly shares. As a major sponsor, the company will debut its technology with an immersive brand experience on-site, offering festival-goers exclusive access and demonstrations.

Harpal Mann, Chief Executive Officer of Clear MOBITEL, shared his vision for the launch:

“We are immensely proud to launch the Clear MOBITEL eSIM at Zimfest Live 2025. Our mission is simple but ambitious: to empower the African diaspora with smart, secure, and accessible mobile connectivity. For too long, traditional telecom services have underserved communities that span borders and cultures. With our eSIM, we are closing that gap—offering a product that adapts to the lives our users lead, not the other way around.”

The Honourable Frederick Shava, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, standing in for His Excellency President @edmnangagwa, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Zimbabwe and ClearMobitel, a UK-based telecommunications company.

The Clear MOBITEL eSIM allows users to activate mobile plans via QR code in minutes, manage multiple numbers across different regions, and eliminate the limitations of traditional SIM logistics. From sending money and managing business communications to staying connected with loved ones—this solution is engineered for the real-world needs of a global community.

This strategic launch reflects Clear MOBITEL’s broader commitment to social impact and inclusive innovation. The company’s presence at Zimfest goes beyond technology—it’s about cultural engagement, supporting community growth, and championing mobility in every sense of the word.

Mr. Mann added:

“We’re not just launching a product; we’re launching a philosophy of freedom and access. In a world that is increasingly interconnected, no one should be left behind due to outdated infrastructure or restrictive pricing. Our technology bridges distances—but our purpose is to bring people closer, both digitally and emotionally.”

Festival attendees will have the opportunity to explore the Clear MOBITEL Experience Pavilion, where experts will guide them through the activation process, showcase international roaming capabilities, and answer questions about how to maximise eSIM benefits.

The move marks the first step in Clear MOBITEL’s long-term strategy to become the go-to connectivity brand for diaspora communities. With expansion planned across Europe, North America, and Sub-Saharan Africa, the company is positioning itself as more than a telecom provider—it aims to become a lifestyle enabler for people living across continents.

The Clear MOBITEL brand places high emphasis on agility, sustainability, and user empowerment. The eSIM, by eliminating plastic waste and simplifying cross-border communications, represents the first of many digital-first solutions the company intends to offer.

As digital transformation accelerates, Clear MOBITEL recognises the urgent need for accessible technologies that support flexible living. Whether it’s for remote work, cross-continental entrepreneurship, or simply maintaining ties to one’s roots, Clear MOBITEL’s eSIM is designed to meet the moment.

Through this bold product introduction at one of the most culturally vibrant festivals in the UK, Clear MOBITEL is affirming its identity as a purpose-driven brand committed to technological excellence, cultural relevance, and global reach.
