Zimbabwean journalist and media practitioner Usher Takudzwa Nyambi has been appointed as the new Contributing Editor for Southern Africa at Rolling Stone Africa, marking a significant milestone in his career. Nyambi brings a wealth of experience in storytelling through various mediums including writing, photography, and film.

“I’m humbled and delighted to take on this opportunity. My goal is to spotlight African talent and share insights into the evolving landscape of African creativity. Now, more than ever, the global spotlight is on Africa, and it is important to archive and document this period in our culture,” said Nyambi on his recent appointment.
Nyambi’s work has been featured in renowned publications such as GQ South Africa, Glamour South Africa, Okay Africa, and Hypebeast Africa. His storytelling spans over 20 countries, and he holds a degree in international relations from Africa University. A native of Rusape, Zimbabwe, Nyambi is also a 2024 Forbes Africa Summit delegate and the founder of Samora Central, a platform dedicated to sharing stories and creating opportunities for young African scholars, entrepreneurs, and creatives.
Rolling Stone, an iconic publication with a legacy spanning five decades in music, politics, and culture journalism, is expanding its footprint into Africa in collaboration with MWANKOM, a company committed to championing Afro-centric content. This partnership aims to capture the continent’s vibrant cultures and diverse voices.
